Robot forex yang berjalan di plaform MT4 berguna untuk membantu trading forex kita secara otomatis, dan Robot harus diintegrasikan dengan software trading metatrader. Dengan menggunakan Robot forex atau EA maka Buy/Sell dapat secara otomatis dilakukan sendiri oleh Robot. Hebatnya ketika robot forex sedang berjalan kita masih bias melakukan aktifitas yang lain tanpa harus di depan monitor terus menerus mengamati perkembangan pasar mata uang, anda bisa melakukan hal-hal lain seperti kerja, olahraga, tidur, jalan-jalan dll, Sedangkan Robot forex atau Expert Advisor yang akan bekerja membantu menghasilkan profit untuk kita dan mengontrol account trading kita agar selalu profit dan terhindar dari MC. Robot forex yang saya gunakan hanya bisa berjalan pada platform MT4 atau Metatrader 4. Sebenarnya tergantung dari program yang dirancang pada robot tersebut, apakah hanya bisa di install di MT4 atau MT5. Sebelum meng-install robot, Software metatrader 4 harus terlebih dahulu terpasang / terinstall di PC baik PC local kalau kita belum punya VPS = Virtutal Private Server atau pada server VPS yang sudah kita miliki. Untuk penjelasan VPS bisa di lihat disini penggunaan VPS untuk trading forex. 1. Install terlebih dahulu meta trader di PC anda atau di VPS anda. 2. Copy terlebih dahulu file robot forex yang akan anda install, kemudian buka lagi aplikasi meta trader yang telah anda install sebelumnya. Pada meta trader, dibagian pojok kiri atas pilih “File” lalu masuk ke menu “Open data folder” 3. Setelah menu “Open data folder” dipilih, akan muncul tampilan kurang lebih seperti dibawah ini 4. Kemudian masuk ke folder “MQL4” dan pilih folder “Experts” difolder Experts ini lah file robot yang telah di copy dilangkah di-paste-kan. Sampai langkah ke 4 ini, berarti file robot yang akan kita gunakan untuk membantu kita trading telah ter-install. Lalu tutup tampilan layer dengan menggunakan tanda x’ dipojok kanan atas. 5. Buka kembali aplikasi meta trader yang telah diinstall, dari menu “Navigator” pilih menu “Expert Advisor” lalu klik kanan pada menu ini lalu pilih menu “Refresh” Sampai disini instalasi “expert advisor” telah selesai. Apabila kedua kolom telah terisi, klik “Connect”.Setelah Anda meng-klik Connect, maka akan langsung muncul jendela yang tampilannya menyerupai tampilan awal PC/laptop Anda saat baru saja dibuka. Penyedia VPS khusus untuk trading forex biasanya sudah meng-install Metatrader untuk semua klien-nya, sehingga Anda bisa langsung melihat icon Metatrader setelah login. Namun, tak usah khawatir jika penyedia belum meng-install-kannya, karena Anda bisa memasang Metatrader pada VPS Metatrader pada VPS Pertama-tama bukalah browser apa saja yang tersedia pada VPS tersebut, bisa Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, ataupun Edge. Cari file EA dari daftar dokumen, kemudian copy CTRL+C. Klik backspace terus hingga Anda sampai pada folder “Metaquotes” yang sempat muncul setelah Anda klik “Open Data Folder” tadi. Pada folder “Metaquotes”, bukalah folder “MQL5” pada Metatrader 5, kemudian cari folder “Experts”. Terakhis, paste CTRL+V file EA pada folder “Experts”. Tutup jendela tersebut, kemudian tutup juga kembali platform Metatrader pada VPS, lalu tengoklah tampilan Navigasi pada sisi kiri bawah. Apabila robot EA sudah terpasang, maka nama file tersebut akan muncul di bawah folder “Expert Advisor”. Anda cukup klik, seret dan jatuhkan drag & drop file EA itu di atas grafik Metatrader dan robot trading EA telah terpasang pada VPS Forex Metatrader masih aktif, maka robot akan terus bekerja menghasilkan uang untuk Anda selama 24 jam nonstop. Anda bisa menutup jendela VPS dari PC/laptop dengan tenang. Meskipun koneksi internet dan listrik ke PC/laptop Anda diputus, VPS tetap akan beroperasi.
